Having to lose weight or to keep constant control of their waist line isn't only a fashion question; it is also, for a lot of overweight people, an "everyday" problem.

Since I am a sedentary person; working in front of a computer many hours a day and seldom exercising, I also constantly have to keep an eye on everything I eat.

I am not a weight loss methods expert but my experiences taught me that the following directions are essential before deciding to start a weight loss diet:

  • Go to see the doctor or a healthcare professional before starting a diet - especially if you want to make a medicamentous reducing diet;

  • Ask yourself the following questions: Do I WANT to lose weight? and Do I have the needed WILL?

  • Be sure to lose weight for yourself and not for someone else's eyes or needs, neither to look like these top models that aren't as beautiful as they appear. By the way, many of them are constantly dieting, some of them eat almost nothing, while others are anorexic. Many top models pictures are re-designed by the publishers; which distorts the reality;

  • Study as many diet methods as possible before choosing the one that will work for you;

Like many other people, I tested tens of weight loss methods - from the cabbage soup diet, SlimFast to the lap banding surgery - and I'd like to share my experiences with you. Maybe you will want to share your own weight loss experiences with me and all our visitors.
